I have not worked with Promethium boards but would like to at some point. The SMART Notebook 11 class is designed for SMART boards and not Promethium boards. When I say smart boards, I am generalizing all smart boards, which include Promethium boards. When I say SMART board, I am referring to the brand SMART and their smart boards. I also want to take a second to make some clarifications. SMART boards can provide teachers with the tool to create interactive lessons for their students.

I decided to focus my course on SMART notebook because it is a program that works with SMART boards, which have quickly replaced dry erase boards in classrooms across the United States. The uses for each of these technologies differ depending on the lesson and what teachers want students to do.
